An elegant chateau from the 18th and 19th centuries with six hectares of grounds, nestled beside Eawy forest in France’s Pays de Bray province, two hours from Paris. Roads through Eawy forest, then country lanes through hedge-lined meadows from the town of Saint-Saëns, lead to the village where the chateau is nestled. Beyond a calvary, a row of majestic plane trees edges the property. Then the estate comes into view. A church opposite watches over the grounds. Beside the entrance stands a building of red brick and sandstone. On the other side of the entrance, there is a characterful half-timbered house. It has a base course of dressed stone, walls of brickwork and stone, and rectangular windows that are evenly laid out in a symmetrical arrangement. It is crowned with a slate roof.
