Classified in 2003 as a Heritage of Public Interest, Quinta do Campo is the only preserved example in Portugal of the medieval architecture of the Cistercian Granjas, and is also the best preserved in the Iberian Peninsula. Its historical and architectural importance reflects centuries of evolution, with buildings dating back to periods after the 12th century, notably the main house, built in the 19th century.Over the centuries, the property has undergone careful interventions that have allowed it to preserve its historic character, maintaining the authenticity of its architectural elements and adapting it to new functions. In the 1990s, the old agricultural spaces were redeveloped and transformed into independent units from the main house, allowing them to be used as tourism accommodation and space for private and corporate events.Infrastructure and AccommodationThe main house, of great heritage and historical value, has 17 en-suite rooms, distributed across different areas, ensuring comfort and privacy. Common spaces include a library, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, as well as several living rooms, providing a distinct accommodation experience, combining history and modernity. The independent apartments were designed to offer a more autonomous alternative within the property, divided into six T1 apartments and one T2 apartment, all equipped with a kitchenette and private balcony with panoramic views over the plain and the river. This configuration allows for a versatile use of the property, adapting to both leisure tourism and medium and long-term stays.Outdoor Spaces and Infrastructures for EventsQuinta do Campo extends over a vast area of outdoor spaces, which preserve the original rural environment, while also providing areas for leisure and contemplation. Among the most notable elements are the original 12th century cellar and barn, which have been carefully restored and adapted to host large events. These historic structures maintain their original design and elements, now featuring large halls, support kitchens and sanitary facilities, ensuring the necessary functionality for exclusive events, be they weddings, conferences or corporate retreats.Privileged Location and Investment PotentialQuinta do Campo is strategically located in Valado dos Frades, just 5 km from the beaches of Nazaré, one of the most emblematic on the Portuguese coast. Its proximity to Caldas da Rainha, Óbidos and Peniche further increases its tourist attraction, benefiting from easy accessibility, 1 hour from Lisbon and 2 hours from Porto. With a consolidated operating model and an attractive occupancy rate, this property represents a solid investment, combining historical value, strategic location and high profitability potential in the tourism and events sector. The uniqueness of its architecture, combined with its ability to adapt and modernize, positions Quinta do Campo as a reference in the panorama of heritage tourism in Portugal.
