A listed medieval tower in the heart of Anjou, the building stands in a remarkable site on the road along the banks of the Loire between Saumur and Angers. This tower-keep combines the medieval defensive model at 30 meters high, its walls pierced with gun arches, with the more residential one which opens to the light with rooms with superb ribbed vaults, tall windows with thick grilles overlooking the Loire, and cushioned seats. The promontory forming a vast terrace overlooking the neighboring church and the Loire, is joined by a climb of steps cut into the rock at the foot of which we come across the entrance to an old troglodyte refuge with its bread oven. At the level of this terrace, a perron staircase accesses the tower served on the 5 levels and the roof terrace, by a superb spiral staircase.
