ApartmentMarseille 1ˢᵗ (13)

A remarkable architecture classified as a 20th century heritage site, the Canebière Building, built in 1953, is the joint work of architects René Egger, Fernand Pouillon, and Jean-Louis Sourdeau. The building with its rhythmic and rounded architecture welcomes on its 2nd floor with elevator a 42 m2 apartment with incredible charm, in the heart of the Belsunce district.

Completely renovated by its interior decorator owner, the apartment has been enhanced by a purist renovation which has highlighted the original materials such as the thin strip solid parquet flooring and the wooden frames, with more contemporary elements such as the terrazzo. of the kitchen, the gray porcelain stoneware tiles of the bathroom and the soft gradients with terracotta resonances. Architectural codes appear as a backdrop with recesses and a column covered in brown glass paste mosaics, energizing the volumes. A clever mix of French and Italian design pieces and antique objects, the decoration perfects the style of the apartment in a poetic atmosphere. Past a small entrance with plenty of storage space, the framed and recessed kitchen subtly blends into this poetic ensemble. It is adorned with a stained brown wooden worktop lit by a terrazzo splashback in gray tones. A clever high table wraps around the column creating a warm dining space. Further on, the living room offers a cozy lounge area in a retro and elegant atmosphere and a first sleeping area isolated by custom-made Japanese panels. Further on, a small child's bedroom is decorated with colorful storage. An enveloping bathroom highlights the choices of this renovation.
