Architecture from 1936, this emblematic villa of the Art Deco movement, of 150 m2 designed by the architect Adrien Grave, is an achievement of the ocean liner style.

Inspired by the clean lines and aerodynamic shapes of transatlantic liners, the façade offers a play of curves reminiscent of the prow of boats which contrasts with the raw load-bearing structure of the house, made of reinforced concrete. The large bay windows, bow windows and portholes provide an abundance of natural light, while the balconies, designed as passageways, offer a clear view of the exteriors. The steel tube railings and the foam coating give the façade an avant-garde appearance for the time. Inside, the living room benefits from exceptional light brought in by the succession of openings in a row which ends with a balcony and a bow window on stilts, creating an airy atmosphere. The separate kitchen and its private terrace overlooking the garden complete this level. The concrete staircase, lit by textured glazing on the inside, lined with glass tiles on the outside, leads to the upper floor, where three bedrooms with period parquet floors and a bathroom create a functional and bright sleeping area. The garden level includes an independent studio, a garage and technical rooms. Finally, the spacious reception garden precedes a vast garden with trees at the back, facing west and allowing the installation of a swimming pool.

A testimony to Art Deco architecture and the art of living of the 1930s.
