Designed in 2021 by the Bordeaux-based firm MAJCZ, founded by Martine Arrivet and Jean-Charles Zebo, this project embodies a strong architectural vision: a house in constant dialogue with its natural surroundings. Large glazed facades blur the line between indoors and outdoors, allowing the forest to permeate the living spaces. Built on a single level and precisely following the contours of the land, the house is structured into three distinct sections, each dedicated to a specific purpose. The open-plan living area, flooded with light, impresses with its spaciousness. Completely opened up by sliding glass doors, it extends onto a covered terrace and then onto a pool area facing the forest. On either side of this clean-lined volume, linked by glazed walkways, two pavilions ensure an ideal layout: one dedicated to children, comprising three bedrooms each with its own terrace, and the other housing a master suite with a suspended rock garden, where privacy and comfort are expressed in a decidedly visionary spirit. On the lower level, a gym, a guest suite with a shower room, a laundry room, hybrid spaces, and a double garage complete the decidedly high-end amenities. Outside, terraces and a swimming pool blend seamlessly into a verdant setting of local species, with the forest serving as a natural horizon.
