Built in the 1940s, this 76 m2 house is located in Le Moulleau, on a wooded plot of 598 m2. In the quiet of a lane near the beaches, it nestles among pines and oaks, in the spirit of the holiday homes of the Bassin.

In need of renovation, the house unfolds its volumes on one level. Its light facades punctuated by wooden shutters, its wide roof overhangs and its play of slopes give it a familiar silhouette, with the spirit of a holiday home.
Inside, the living room boasts a generous volume accentuated by exposed beams. Large bay windows open onto the garden, letting in abundant natural light and bringing the landscape into the heart of the home. The separate kitchen also maintains a direct connection to the outdoors. Two bedrooms complete this simple and functional single-level layout. Outside, the wooded garden surrounds the house and protects it from prying eyes. The terraces naturally extend the living spaces and strengthen the connection between indoors and outdoors. While the house currently requires renovation, its volumes lend themselves to a contemporary reinterpretation. Its central location on the plot, its preserved surroundings, and the quality of its openings form the basis of a project capable of revealing the full potential of the site without erasing its identity.
