Apartment Bucharest (Romania)
Today's high-end urban living is vertical, in tall and slender buildings that allow a spectacular panorama of the area, parks and lakes of the city. These towers in Floreasca tick off each of these characteristics and have quickly become an aspirational landmark in the area, bringing to Bucharest a way of living known until recently rather mediated by cinematography than directly, locally. Here you can have the New York feeling of a luxury apartment near Central Park. The project is a residential landmark that marks the completion of society's transition to prosperity and the completion of the transposition of Western values into local culture. The apartment's 246 square meters of built-up area are divided into five rooms and four bathrooms, to which is added a 19 square meter terrace. Monochrome bathrooms and minimalist bedrooms complement the spacious and calm living area. The apartment abounds in glazed surfaces, which not only invites the light inside but also lets it caress and reflect on the white walls, covering every space, surface, area. The city outside becomes part of the family's life as a painting would, more precisely a still life gallery where, surprise, the leaves are rustling and ducks are floating on the lake. The terrace allows insertion into that setting, away from the noises and mobility of the city but in contact with its vibrations.

The proud Maramuresan gate stands straight at the street and invites you inside. The fence in which it is trapped, made of woven canes and with narrow eaves, allows the visitor to see from the outside only the roof of the traditional shingled building. Between the stone foundation and the attic, the houses breathe through a verandah made of artistically cut wood; from here the view is wonderful, over trees, valleys and pastures undisturbed by man. The four houses that share their yard are each arranged on the ground floor and attic; the renovation of one of them has been completed, the others are still being worked on. To encourage socializing they are served by a gazebo where there is an oven and grill. The interior is chic, with the living area on the ground floor in the colors of the sky and the night area upstairs, in the shades of wood that outline the ceiling. Breb, the flagship village of Maramures, is an extremely sought-after destination and an experience highly desired by tourists is living in traditional houses. Many of the existing ones have been converted into guesthouses, with varying degrees of comfort depending on the attention to detail of the conversion project. photo Tudor Prisecaru

Apartment Bucharest (Romania)
Part of the vibrant district of the city since its building in 1923-1924, the palace holds the signature of the Architect Paul Smărăndescu, one of the most prolific architects of the XXth century in Romania. In about the same period with erecting the building at 7 Matei Millo Street, Paul Smărăndescu has planned other architectural monuments such as Palatul Societății Astra Română (Rosetti Square), Palatul Dacia România (Magheru Boulevard) or Palatul Societății Creditul Rural (Brătianu Boulevard/Doamnei Street). The intense activity of the area has lead to the development of this property as a real business center of those times. The area limited by Calea Victoriei, Regina Elisabeta Boulevard (as called today) and Cișmigiu Park included the offices of the most important press offices and printing houses in the country, such as Adevărul or Universul. The latter has established its headquarters into another impressive building signed by Arch. Paul Smărăndescu at 23 Brezoianu St.. In the same time, the importance of the district has driven the erecting of the Palatul Telefoanelor, 1931-1933, being the first major modernist building in town, only few steps away from 7 Matei Millo St. The '30 years represented a consolidation period for the notoriety of the building from 7 Matei Millo St. as a true business center with occupants such as the Letea Paper Factory, an advertising agency (Rador Orient Radio), a tiles factory (Salzberg&Gronen), the Brătianu Wines, the Bukarest Post Newspaper, as well as the offices of various free lancers such as engineers and doctors. Although along time the area has changes its occupants, still, the location in the heart of Bucharest has allowed it to maintain its attractivity over years. Universul Palace has been consolidated and became a hub with tenants from various creative industries. In the next vicinity, on the former address of the National Theather, a successful hotel concept has been implemented - Novotel, and 2021 will mark the delivery of two important buildings on the offices market - Matei Millo and Tandem. Currently, the former Palace of Letea Factory has a versatile character so that the 2,700 sqm could be converted into residential spaces for the urban lifestyle aficionados, into offices for those that would like to remain connected to the city life, or could be turned into a hotel. The space layout, as well as the access allow various partition solutions and use of the space. There is already a project prepared that comes along with the relevant valid building permit.

Apartment Bucharest (Romania)
Standing proudly in central Bucharest, this exceptional property was once the residence of an outstanding intellectual family - the Teodoreanu family. The family's origins stretch far beyond the 1848 Revolution, and included both famous lawyers and engineers with spectacular lives. All three sons of the Teodoreanu family were at the front in the war that gave birth to Greater Romania, but they remained emotionally attached to the property, so Alexandru, one of them would buy back the building. At the same time, the family name is closely linked to Romanian culture, Ionel Teodoreanu leaving a strong mark on the Romanian literary landscape through his evocative writings of childhood and adolescence. With a rich history and remarkable architecture, this property was even the scene of famous moments contained in the wonderful trilogy La Medeleni. Being a home full of inspiration and creation, the residence itself has been both witness to events and moments full of life, and the focal point of the existence of the family members so that they have also acquired colour and character under the pen of Ionel Teodoreanu's talent. Built in 1912 in a period of economic prosperity typical of the Belle Epoque, this residence is much more than a living space - it is a cultural testimony to a remarkable period in Romanian history. This building preserves a fragment of the atmosphere of inter-war Bucharest, perhaps the most flourishing period of Great Romania. The residence was also built with rigour, with a view to its durability and longevity for future generations. The price is subject to VAT.

Apartment Bucharest (Romania)
This household is proud and rich, protected from the eyes of strangers by a solid brick wall; to the outside world it shows only a facade wearing a decorative belt in the colors of summer wheat. A flirty plant motif, a tulip, indulges in cartouches on the wall. The blue shutters border windows that open inside to large and bright rooms with beams on the ceiling and wonderful stoves - original stoves with tiles, corner stoves, high stoves, stoves built like an elegant sideboard that instantly catches the eye. The doors are often double and painted in the traditional green colour of the area; cheerfully painted benches preserve the custom of the place. The large courtyard, with its vaulted gate once used by ox carts, is today filled with well-kept grass and shrubs; cobblestone paths line the house and plants grow on the corners near the gutters. Here and there the windows open among the leaves and branches that grow hanging on the wall, creating that rustic atmosphere that promises coolness and pampering. There are four traditional houses located on 9000 square meters of urban land. Their age varies and starts from 1862 when a house with one bedroom, bathroom, hall and cellar was erected. Another construction is from 1950 and offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms and hallways, cellar and shed/stable. In addition to these there is a building with two rooms, hall, bathroom, shed and workshop and another with shed, restaurant (living room), kitchen and technical room (on the first floor there is an apartment with living room, bedroom and bathroom). Although they have complete autonomy and can be owned individually by different owners, they can also work excellently as a tourist guesthouse or event center because they are also served by a building where the spa area, deckchair, sauna, and terrace are arranged. The village is not large - a settlement of houses lined up along the road, most of them having green fields at the bottom of the yard, typical of the hilly relief, from the Hârtibaciu plateau. Located 20km from Viscri, the emblematic village of Transylvania popularized by King Charles the III of Great Britain, Grânari enjoys the same Saxon features and traditions but avoids the congestion and prices of its more famous neighbor. photo Florin Pepene

Apartment Bucharest (Romania)
The architectural complex Bragadiru Palace dates back to the dawn of the 20th century, in full Belle Époque. The whole domain is named after its founder, Dumitru Marinescu Bragadiru (1842-1915). An emblematic figure for the city, he started from a poor family of workers and became Europe's third industrialist at the beginning of the 20th century. Through his ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit, Bragadiru has fully contributed to the capital's economic and architectural development. At the end of the 19th century, he set up a brewery – at that time, in Bucharest, there were only two such companies, both of German origin and highly appreciated: Luther (the future Grivita) and Oppler (later GIB). Near his brewery, Bragadiru built a recreation center for employees, following an old tradition. Thus was born the Colossus, as the building was known in its beginnings, around 1905. Designed as a Palace of Culture, it was used as a brewery and a performance hall, but also to host several family events of the workers. Bragadiru Palace was built according to the plans designed by Austrian architect Anton Shuckerl in 1894. It is an impressive construction, in size, architecture and decorations, with particular attention paid to details: spiral stairs in Norman style, stuccoes, statues inserted in the facade, Venetian mirrors and Victorian-style balconies. The summer garden and terrace harmoniously complete the eclectic architecture. With a spectacular ballroom, which can also function as a theater or concert hall, a library, a bowling alley, numerous rooms, shops and offices that operated on the ground floor, the Palace combines the styles of the most famous buildings of the time: the Chamber of Commerce, The Romanian Post Office, The House of Savings and Consignments (CEC) and the building of the Supreme Court of Justice, all built in the same period. In June 1948, the family's property is confiscated, and the Palace becomes the Lenin Culture House of district 5 and functions under this purpose until 1989. After the fall of the communist regime, it is completely neglected, until 2003, when it is returned to the rightful owners, Dumitru Marinescu Bragadiru’s descendants, who manage to restore the former building from ruins. Bragadiru Palace is one of the most imposing buildings of Bucharest of all time. Today, it is an elegant location, which hosts private events, from wedding ceremonies to birthday parties, personal or corporate. The Colosseum Hall is truly spectacular and any event organized here is engrained by the aristocratic atmosphere and the glow of the glory years of inter-war Bucharest. The property is available for sale as it follows: - Integral: Palace + Garden; - The palace of 10,110 sqm with the subsidiary land, of 4,369 sqm; - Garden of 12,122 sqm, suitable for real estate development, current urban indices: CUT 2.5 and POT 75% Source: Adevarul.ro Photo: Andrei Mărgulescu
