An 18th century manor house with a striking staircase and uninterrupted views over the valley near Lauzerte, in the south of the Quercy Blanc region. A small road runs alongside the property in a village, on the best exposed hillside of the valley. Slightly set back below, the manor house is built on the ruins of an old castle. It enjoys a privileged setting, as much for its natural surroundings as for its distant views. At the outbreak of the French Revolution, the castle towers were demolished as they were deemed too ostentatious. The manor house, built shortly thereafter in 1793 (the date is carved into the lintel of an exterior door), had to be sober. This white Quercy stone building extends over two levels.
