Guests included Prince Umberto and Princesses Yolanda and Mafalda. These visits connect the residence to the private world of King Victor Emmanuel III and Queen Elena.
From 2012 to 2025, works from institutional and other art collections were held here for safekeeping, alongside antiquities and a monumental bronze after Canova. Exhibitions devoted to Picasso took place on the floor below in 2023.
