TERRAZZA AL POGGIO, PORTO ROTONDO: A HOME SUSPENDED BETWEEN THE GREENERY AND THE GULF OF THE COSTA SMERALDAThere's a moment, every evening, when Porto Rotondo stops being a destination and becomes a feeling. It's the moment the sun dips behind the hills and the gulf, with the island of Tavolara watching over the horizon, lights up in shades of pink and gold. At Terrazza al Poggio, that moment isn't observed from a distance: it's lived, seated on your own terrace, glass in hand, with the scent of the garden rising from below. That's the promise of this home, and it's a promise it keeps every single day.For over half a century, Porto Rotondo has been one of the most evocative names on the Costa Smeralda: a village designed by architects and visionaries to blend seamlessly with the Mediterranean scrubland, where the villas hide among the greenery and the sea always remains the protagonist. It's the place chosen by those seeking the discreet elegance of authentic Sardinia, far from the noise yet just steps from the lively piazzetta, its restaurants and boutiques. Within this setting, Terrazza al Poggio is not simply a holiday home: it's a retreat designed to capture Porto Rotondo in its most intimate form. The house unfolds over two floors, semi-independent, wrapped in a well-tended garden that welcomes guests from the gate all the way to the front door, amid Mediterranean scents and natural shade during the warmer hours. On the ground floor, two peaceful, secluded bedrooms, each with two single beds and a private bathroom one with a shower, one with a bathtub designed to welcome families or groups of friends who want their own space without ever losing the feeling of a shared home. But it's on the upper floor that Terrazza al Poggio reveals its true character. The bright, welcoming living room opens naturally onto the panoramic terrace: from here, the eye travels freely across the gulf of Porto Rotondo, in a setting that shifts color hour by hour, from the vivid turquoise of morning to the warm hues of sunset. This is the place for long, unhurried lunches in the sun, for summer dinners set to the rhythm of cicadas, for toasts that stretch into the night as the gulf's lights switch on one by one in the distance. The fully independent kitchen, equipped with oven, dishwasher and coffee machine, allows guests to live the home in complete autonomy, while the master bedroom with private bathroom offers a reserved corner for the hosts of the holiday, sharing the same view that makes every space in the living area so extraordinary.Adding to the comfort of the living area are air conditioning, a washing machine and an iron, along with a convenient covered parking space within the property a rare privilege in the heart of the Costa Smeralda during high season. From July 1st to September 10th, guests have access to the shared pool, with dedicated time slots in the morning and afternoon.Staying at Terrazza al Poggio means waking up in the green silence of Porto Rotondo and falling asleep lulled by the view of its gulf, with the piazzetta, hidden coves and the most exclusive spirit of the Costa Smeralda just a short walk away. Properties like this, with genuine, uninterrupted sea views, are what become impossible to find during peak months: requests for high season in Porto Rotondo come in well in advance, and the best weeks sell out fast. For availability, rates and booking information, please contact me directly.
