A dwelling, with more than 290 m² of inhabitable floor area, and its annexe, nestled within the Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche golf course, not far from Versailles. Immersed in peace and quiet within the Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche golf course, the dwelling is accessible via a tarmacked lane lined by hedges, which encircles the property and only communicates with the houses in this neighbourhood. With an inhabitable floor area of approximately 295 m², in addition to an annexe-workshop of nearly 40 m² and an indoor garage of 35 m², its large picture windows, punctuating its exteriors, provide its interior with ample sunlight and make it possible to admire the many trees, wooded spaces as well as the golf course’s swaths of verdant lawn, which blanket the landscape as far as the eye can see. Hugging the property’s natural slope, each floor in the dwelling is divided into several levels, connected by wooden railing and light-colour hardwood flooring, while the light circulates throughout the dwelling’s large rooms thanks to its many windows and glass doors, providing the whole with a warm and fluid environment, which blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment.

The property, with more than 58 hectares and only partially enclosed by fencing, includes landscaped grounds, approximately 23 hectares of farmland rented out under two 9-year, renewable leases (annual rent of €2,880), as well as woods, pastures, a pond of nearly 3,000 m² and a natural spring with an overflow catchment area. House with garden Donnemarie-Dontilly (77)

In one of the most beautiful villages of Seine-et-Marne, a house, its three terraced gardens, and a small buildable land across the street. Built between a garden and a quiet street that commands it, the family house is bordered by a rectangular paved courtyard, extended by two terraced gardens, accessible by a few steps. The highest garden also benefits from direct access via another uphill street. On the courtyard side, the central body of the dwelling is flanked by two asymmetrical wings, at an angle. The right wing, taller, is characterized by its sharp gable and irregular volumes. Set back to the right of the main facade of this wing, an attached and lower dependency, accessible by a small passage, opens onto the courtyard. Finally, on the left side, stands the other wing of the house, lower and narrower than the one opposite. Raised over three levels, including one in the roof space, with two half-levels added, the residential building is semi-detached on one side. Facing the street, it presents a stone façade covered with plaster and a double-pitched roof of flat country tiles. The main access to the residence is from the street via a limestone stone staircase with two symmetrical flights, forming a small landing in front of the double wooden door, arched and glazed, which marks the entrance. Regular and straight bays, small-pane windows, painted shutters, and wrought iron railings, combined with the floor band, cornice, and pediment of the door, all in molded reliefs, create a balanced and discreetly colored tableau. Finally, on the other side of the street, a buildable plot completes the architectural and landscape ensemble. This description has been automatically translated from French.

House with pool and garden Vétheuil (95)

A 19th-century Bourgeois home between the River Seine and the Vexin hills, in Vétheuil, with outbuildings and a more than 3,900-m² walled garden. The residence dates from the first half of the 19th century and displays all the characteristic elements of bourgeois architecture. The symmetrical, three-storey building stands on a base of cut stone equipped with basement windows. The combination of red brick and light-coloured stone underlines the regular shape of the tall window frames, fitted with louvred shutters and moulded lintels. The roof is punctuated by dormer windows while three tall, slender chimney stacks stand out from its silhouette. The building stands in the centre of a vast, almost 4,000-m² garden and is set back from the street behind a gate and small wall. To the rear, it opens onto a slightly sloping garden. There are several outbuildings requiring renovation set away to the side of the house. A rotunda style 19th-century veranda stands on the south-facing patio. A flight of stone steps, with well-pruned hedges on either side, leads up to the main entrance door. The property’s balanced structure and fine proportions have been preserved, making this sober edifice typical of the tastes of an era in which secondary homes had to combine distinction, comfort and openness to the surrounding landscape. Refurbishment work will be necessary but the edifice boasts remarkable potential for restoration.

Contemporary house with garden and terrace Gentilly (94)

On the edge of the capital, in the quiet of Gentilly, a light and spacious house of 455 m² with terrace and garden . The immaculate façade of the house is punctuated here and there by climbing plants and touches of ultramarine blue: from the railings to the gate and the small, discreet earthenware friezes. Entirely surrounded by walls and lush vegetation, the property is completely hidden from prying eyes and without a vis-à-vis. In all, the house has five floors and 455 m² of living space. The secure gate gives access to the garage on one side, and on the other to the plant-rich and slab-paved path that leads directly to the 76.50 m² lawned garden. The tour of the house begins on the garden floor, where a flight of stairs leads to the high glass-clad blue entrance door. This level, completely independent from the rest of the house, is built around a 25 m² studio with parquet floor, kitchen, shower room and guest toilet. The entire space is lit by a large window reminiscent of old school buildings. From there, a few steps lead to the ground floor and a large kitchen of almost 80 m². Fully equipped, it offers plenty of storage space and a dining area for six people. The kitchen adjoins the open-plan, long dining room, which is large enough to seat at least eight guests. With its large windows, dark parquet flooring and flat white and grey paintwork, this room has a resolutely contemporary look. In one corner, a wood and metal quarter turn staircase leads to the upper level, which features a huge 77 m² living room with light parquet flooring and a modern fireplace. It opens onto a conservatory with glass roofs, which provide plenty of light throughout the day and all year round. To one side, a double French window opens onto the 13m² wooden terrace, large enough to accommodate deckchairs for a relaxing moment. At the back of the room, a white wooden staircase leads up to the second floor. This level consists of the master bedroom of 16 m² with a 14 m² sports room and a bathroom. Further on, the office could easily be converted into an extra bedroom or a walk-in wardrobe. The top floor of the house, under the roof, includes two bedrooms of 16 and 17m² respectively with parquet floors and a shower room. They are illuminated by roof windows and skylights. The basement features a spacious garage, a laundry room, a closet and a wine cellar.

House with garden Boussy-Saint-Antoine (91)

A 19th-century house, located in the city with its buildable land, 30 minutes from Paris. The property can be glimpsed behind a stone wall. After passing through the entrance, the house, built in the second half of the 19th century as a holiday residence, stands amidst a completely enclosed garden. The house reveals a facade of rigorous symmetry, divided into three orderly sections in a classic sobriety that unfolds in two distinct yet harmoniously linked volumes. The whole structure rests on a visible stone base, which is not simply an aesthetic choice, but a marker of a territory and an era, namely that of the signature of master houses and Belle Époque villas. The light plaster of the facades is bordered with corner chains and highlighted with pearl-grey horizontal bands that give the residence its charm. Each window is protected by a delicately patterned wrought iron guardrail. The double door is framed by a classic door frame, and a subtle entablature allows access to the entrance. The roof, covered in dark tiles, is punctuated by two capucine dormers, a direct inheritance of noble rural architecture. Finally, near the main house, there is a guardian's house in the same style, serving as an outbuilding. The entire ensemble fits into an ornamental garden. This description has been automatically translated from French.

House with garden Massy (91)

A former 1850s manor house with gardens, in the Île-de-France region, 18 kilometres south of Paris. Behind an elegant entrance, made up of a wrought-iron entrance gate and pedestrian gate, a small, paved path leads to the residence and the first walled garden dotted with many types of trees, notably an American black walnut tree. With its large expanses of pink cladding and green wooden shutters, the “Villa Rose” is emblematic of classical Parisian architecture. As for the symmetrical, two-storey façade with three vertical rows of windows and, in the centre, the moulded splay of the entrance door topped by an oculus, it owes much to the gentleness of Italian architecture. On each level and in each vertical row, there are large-paned windows with period or restored frames The other façade overlooks the second garden and possesses an entrance below a small awning. Lastly, next to the house, enclosed by adjacent fencing, there is a lean-to that has been converted into a small outbuilding.

House with pool and garden Etampes (91)

A group of Renaissance-era buildings, renovated into guest accommodations, with a swimming pool and one-hectare grounds bordered by a river, 1.5 hours from Paris. It is impossible to pass through the gate’s two brick pillars without noticing their sculpted lace-like stone pinnacles, vestiges of the property’s past splendour. Overlooking the countryside, an impressive circular tower, originally from the late 15th century and rebuilt in the 19th century in brick, is topped with stone machicolations and a slate pepperpot roof, while two additional towers can also be found on the property: a hexagonal one and a smaller circular one. As for the former staff quarters, now converted into guest rooms and caretaker’s accommodations, they are accessible via the grounds’ many pathways and were once connected to the chateau itself, which no longer exists today, whereas the property’s chapel has been transformed into the main dwelling. Featuring homogenous architecture, typical of the late Gothic period and a precursor to the Renaissance, its brick walls are cadenced by stone window/door surrounds topped with ogee arches, small-paned doors and windows, some of which are mullioned, as well as quoins, which highlight the buildings’ edges and slate rooftops. Last, but not least, a covered swimming pool is located in front of the main dwelling and extends the view towards the grounds, enclosed by walls, fencing and a river on one side.

One, on a single level, is distinguished by three fully glazed facades. The other is raised by two levels. Once the gate is crossed, a pathway with a wooden plank floor, reminiscent of the villas of Cap Ferret, leads to the entrance and establishes an elegant and natural atmosphere. House with garden Bagneux (92)

A 19th-century manor house, with a modern extension and landscaped garden, on a plot of more than 2 000 m² in the old town of Bagneux . Four minutes on foot from the main square of the old town of Bagneux, the main residence, part of the municipality's protected built heritage, has stood on a walled plot of more than 2 000 m² since 1843. The floor tiles and parquet flooring, the high ceilings, the mouldings and the views over the large, well-kept garden and the protected landscaped area make this a unique residence. Since the early 2000s, a modern, flat-roofed extension, inspired by the Brutalist style, has been added, creating an aesthetic contrast. On the garden level, on either side of a through corridor, are found the living areas: a double, three-way reception room, with a French window providing access to the garden, and a comfortable dining room, visually linked to the kitchen by a large, custom-made glass wall. All rooms open onto the greenery. In the modern section, two comfortable, bright bedrooms, each with its own shower room and separate toilet, occupy the main level. The basement, semi-underground and lit by basement window wells, contains two large rooms, currently used as offices or libraries. The first floor of the old house, accessed by an oak spiral staircase, has three bedrooms. One of these, measuring around 15 m², leads to a room with a window that has been converted into a spacious wardrobe. The second, which is large (around 17 m²) is used as an office and the third is a small bedroom measuring around 9 m². The bedrooms are next to a bathroom and a separate toilet. A trapdoor in the ceiling provides access, via a retractable staircase, to the vast attic space under the tiled, hip roof, which was renovated and insulated in 2004. Finally, the old house has an underground level that takes up its entire floor area. In addition to a large vaulted cellar, there is a laundry room and a workshop housing the boiler room. The property, surrounded by stone walls lined with a belt of trees and shrubs, can be accessed from two sides, each opening onto a gate. A semi-private driveway running alongside the plot also provides parking space for several vehicles.

House with garden Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt (78)

A millstone house in a quiet residential street on the Saint-Antoine plateau in Chesnay on the edge of Versailles. Built in 1908 on an almost 670 m² plot, of which around 560 m² is garden, this south-facing house is located in a quiet, residential street on the Plateau Saint-Antoine. Behind the low wall topped by a metal fence that protects it from prying eyes, the 'meulière' sits in pride of place in the centre of its grounds, surrounded by a bed of gravel. The stone walls, with three floors over a basement, are strewn with ivy and rosebushes and topped with a tiled roof with eaves, a Jacobean dormer window and a chimney. Most of the windows are round-arched. The window sills are brick and a masonry band marks the boundary between the basement and the raised ground floor. Large windows on this floor let plenty of light into the rooms, all of which have ceiling heights of almost 3 m. In the centre of the main facade, a flight of steps leads up to the double glazed entrance door with its wrought iron fittings, topped by a fanlight and a tiled wooden platform roof. To its right, a wooden balcony with a balustrade adorns the eastern window on the first floor. To the rear, the facade is flanked by a square tower with a pavilion roof, the walls of which are rendered on the three upper floors and the entrance door to which is accessed from the garden via a wooden staircase. The raised ground floor features a deep oriel window with a good view over the garden. The house has a floor area of more than 330 m², including around 100 m² of basement, and has 12 main rooms, including 7 bedrooms. With a roof which was remade and insulated in 2012, and double-glazed windows throughout, it has good insulation.

A house with a garden and an outbuilding, in the heart of a medieval village in the Yvelines area. The house and outbuilding stand opposite each other. Today, the main building boasts four bedrooms. It is made up of two adjoining wings with two storeys plus an attic level, totalling living space of almost 175 m². On the ground floor, there is more than 50 m² split between two rooms awaiting restoration. The outbuilding has a surface of approximately 90 m². It contains an independent apartment spread over two storeys, with a living room and kitchen on the ground floor plus a bedroom, bathroom and a lavatory on the upper floor. House with garden Nointel (95)

A grand house with a 345m² floor area, annexes, a vegetable patch and over one hectare of tree-dotted grounds, nestled in a village in the River Oise valley just north of Paris. The grand edifice is a token of a rich past. It is a large building with a long story, which began over a century ago. In a small residential area of the charming village, you make your way alongside the property’s enclosing wall before discovering its buildings. An electric gate takes you onto a gravel drive that leads up to the main house, then to outbuildings on one side and to the grounds and vegetable patch on the other. The central edifice’s architecture and the layout of its main rooms bear witness to a style that is typical of the late 19th century: French classicism. The room sizes, windows and stone surrounds give the house balance and majesty, as do the splendid grounds that cover over a hectare and include age-old trees, clusters of plants, hedges, vast lawns, paths, a vegetable patch, and an old ornamental pond.

House with garden Saint-Ouen (93)

A 190-m² house with five bedrooms and a 360-m² garden near the metro lines 13 and 14 as well as the RER C in Saint-Ouen. The two-storey house is made up of two sections, one constructed in 1910 and the other built more recently in 2000. Punctuated by four windows and a door, the older part of the house faces the street and has a light-colour exterior cadenced by stringcourses in contrasting colours, a frieze on the upper level and slightly raised window and door surrounds – both jambs and lintels – in an aesthetic characteristic of the early 20th century. The ground floor includes an entrance hall with a cement tile floor, two large bedrooms, including one with its own bathroom and direct access to the garden, as well as a separate lavatory. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor with straight-plank oak hardwood floors, where the landing provides access to three bedrooms, a bathroom and lavatory. To the right of the entrance hall, the second section of the house is made up of a vast room of approximately 76 m² with a cathedral ceiling, the height of which culminates at 7 metres. This room, with a terracotta tile floor, includes a kitchen, dining room and living room with a fireplace. Over on the kitchen side of this large room, a picture window spans the entire length of one wall, providing the entire work surface with abundant light, while over on the living room side, a large, metal and glass quarter-round atelier window faces the verdant garden. In addition, the basement, located underneath the older section of the house, includes two large rooms as well as a laundry area and a gas furnace, which provides heat and hot water for the entire house. With two parking spaces and surrounded by a high wall, the garden, concealed from view, is accessible via a large solid metal gate, which opens onto a street adjacent to the one on which the property’s pedestrian entrance is located.
