It is a marine haven, away from maritime routes. It’s a pearl island, unlike any other in the eastern South Pacific. It is also an island designed to give birth to an ecotourism project making it possible to invent an original form of sustainable tourism, where development and preservation of fauna and flora combine and complement each other in an unprecedented achievement. Ultimately, it’s such a rare occasion that we can call it a daydream. It takes two hours by plane from Tahiti Faa'a International Airport, located 5 km south of Papeete, capital of Polynesia, on the island of Tahiti, to reach Nengo Nengo. It is an atoll located 42 km southeast of Ravahere, its closest neighbor, and 100 km southwest of Hao. It is also administratively attached to the commune of Hao, even though it is a private island. The atoll, oval, measures 13 km long by 8 km maximum width for a land area of 9 km2. Its vast interior lagoon has an area of 67 km2, but has no sea connection. The seamount on which the atoll is located rises to 4,355 m, making it one of the highest seamounts in the archipelago. A 19th-century house with a walled garden that covers over 2,600m² in a vibrant village in France’s Pays de Bray province, around 150 kilometres from Paris. The property lies near the market square around which the village has built its long story. The grand dwelling towers in the village centre, standing out from its neighbours, yet it blends into its surrounding environment well. The architecture around it is typically Norman in style, but this does not clash with the property. An age-old magnolia stands in front of the house.
