Chalet Bellevaux (74)
At 960m altitude and orientated West this is a wonderfully renovated semi-detached farmhouse with beautiful mountain views.
On the ground floor, the front door leads into the kitchen area, then dining and sitting areas, all open plan, but clearly defined. A corridor goes behind what is the gite/apartment to a small scullery and also a small garage (motorbike sized).
The second floor has 3 bedrooms, each with balcony and view, a separate WC, a bathroom and the master bedroom has a shower and wash basin. There is a large bedroom/play room in the loft area, currently accessed by a pull down ladder. The land gently slopes away in front of the house, with a chicken coop on one side. The attached house is to the rear of the property, absolutely no issue of over-looking.
The apartment/Gite has a kitchen living area on the ground floor with a sleeping space above and its own terrace. It provides a regular income (+/- 8000€/year), popular winter and summer.
The heating is by electric radiators, a pellet burner and hot water tanks. With the solar panels and super insulation this is an economic house to run. The property has a form of septic tank, the commune is in the process of connecting the area to mains drains.
In the village of Bellevaux you will find a bar/restaurant, post office, butcher, small superette and Boulangerie. There are local schools including a good secondary college.
For skiing the Roc d’Enfer circuit is a 5 mins drive as is Hirmentaz, Bellevaux each with 55km of pistes. Larger ski areas such as Les Portes du Soleil and La Grande Massif (Flaine) are around 55mins drive. Geneva airport is also about 55mins drive.
